Damask Rose Hydrolate - Rosa damascena Flower Water (extract) - 250 ml

Flower Tales Damask Rose Hydrolate is a flower water obtained by ultrasound assisted extraction from the petals of Rosa x damascena, a flower rich in active compounds originating from Syria.

Damask Rose floral water is renowned for its astringent, seboregulating and purifying properties, rebalancing microcirculation and promoting cell regeneration.

It’s indicated for oily skin, but also for sensitive, irritated or mature skin.

It leaves the skin more radiant, especially when used in combination with Blue-green Algae extract.

It’s a well-rounded product used in preparation of face, body hand hair care products, as well as deodorants, feminine washes or anti-scar treatments where oily ointments are unsuitable.

It’s widely used in aromatherapy too, however it may be too a precious product for that; we would recommend Flower Tales Rose Water instead, a less “active” flower water, but equally scented.

Olfactory Note: Heart

FLOWER TALES QUALITY: Flower Tales Damask Rose Hydrolate is not obtained by distillation, like most flower waters, but by ultrasound assisted extraction. This modern extraction process gives a herbal water that is richer in active compounds, without damaging those that are thermolabile (easily destroyed by heat).

No alcohol or solvents are used in the process: only water. Ultrasound assisted extraction uses less energy than distillation and is a sustainable, environmentally-friendly technology.

No extraction process is substitute for quality of the raw material: Flower Tales has selected an Italian supplier that is able to provide the same level of quality of Rosa x Damascena traditionally cultivated in Syria, now scarcely available and with dubious traceability. The petals of the flowers are delicately handpicked from cultivations in North-West and the Emilia Romagna region of Italy and the hydrolate is obtained using only water as a solvent.

Flower Tales Damask Rose water is a natural product and, like a premium wine, the intensity of the scent may vary depending on the harvest and production batch. The extraction ratio is 1:5.
